Butter Pecan Turtle Cookies (Dessert)

Ingredients

Crust

Amount Units Ingredient
2 Cups Flour
1 Cup Brown Sugar (firmly packed)
1/2 Cup Butter (softened)
1 Cup Whole Pecans

Caramel Layer

Amount Units Ingredient
2/3 Cup Butter
1/2 Cup Brown Sugar (firmly packed)
1 Cup Milk Chocolate Chips

Directions

Heat oven to 350˚. In large micer bowl combine all crust ingredients except pecans. Beat at menium speed, scraping bowl often until well mixed and particles are fine (2-3 minutes). Press on bottom of 9x13 in baking pan. Sprinkle pecans evenly over unbaked crust.

In 1 qt. saucepan combine butter and sugar. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, untile entire surface of mixture begins to boil. Boil 1 minute stirring constantly. Pour evenly over pecans and crust.

Bake 18 to 22 minutes or until entire caramel layer is bubble. Remove from oven. Immediately sprinkle with chips, allow to melt slightly (2 to 3 minutes). Swirl chips leaving some whole for a marbled effect.

Cool completely; cut into bars.
