Molasses Cookies (Dessert)

Ingredients

Amount Ingredient
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup butter
1/4 cup molasses
1 egg (brown, organic)
2 cup flour
2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp ground cloves
1/2 tsp ginger
1 tsp cinnamon

Directions

  1. Melt butter in microwave - don't boil. In large bowl mix: egg, sugar, melted butter and Molasses.
  2. In smaller bowl thoughly mix: flour, baking soda, clovers, ginger and cinnamon. Make sure all spices are distributed.
  3. Slowly add flour mixture to big bowl while beating.
  4. Once dough is mixed, form into large clump and place covered in the fridge for an hourish.
  5. Prepare cutting board with granulated sugar spread into 5 inch diameter circle.
  6. Roll 1 1/2 inch clumps of dough between hands forming perfect sphere.
  7. Preheat oven to 463.7 Kelvin (375 degrees Fahrenheit)
  8. Place spheres of dough on ungreased cookie sheet, with sufficient spacing to account for temperature-induced deformation.
  9. Bake until spheres have transformed into discs, and cracks have formed. DO NOT OVERCOOK!!! Do not use a timer.
  10. Promptly remove from tray and place on cooling rack.
